So not only are we caring for the house while we are here, we have a few "babies" to take care of also. This is Jasmine, a yellow collared macaw. She is very picky with whom she forms bonds with, she definitely favors men.
This was Alex our first morning in the house. She still was unsure of him and he had to use a stick to get her off her perch (she sleeps upstairs in our room). He had to endure a few bites but now they are the best of friends.
Riley and I are still determined to make friends with Jasmine. We have gotten her onto a stick a few times and she will eat from our hands but that's about it so far.
This is Gellie. This little girl is such a sweetheart. She definitely likes her freedom and can sense when we are going to leave. She will take off running and not come back. I think it is a game of hide and seek for her because she knows we will come find her. This is probably her favorite position...sprawled out on the deck, moaning when she changes positions. It's a rough life!
Riley is in HEAVEN with these dogs.
This is Indie. Also a sweetheart, but somewhat mischevious and a little bossy. She loves to sneak into the compost pile often coming back with evidence (cucumber peels on her head)...not very sly!, but we love her.
