Golmar (Cedeira), Spain

It was a nice drive up to Cedeira from Santiago.  We stopped by the local grocery store in town then headed out to the house we were renting outside of town in the small village of Golmar.  This home was absolutely gorgeous!  A home made of stone overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, surrounded by sheep, cattle and chicken.  We easily fell into a routine here.  The kids loved the sheep in the front yard!

The next morning we woke up to sunny warm skies so we decided to head to the beach.  We ended up at Praia de Pantin.  This was a picturesque bay with fun beach break and a protected cove to the side where we hung out.  At first we had the beach to ourselves but as the day went on locals showed up to enjoy the sun as well.  The kids boogie boarded, hunted lizards and built forts and Alex surfed.  I spent my time soaking up the sun and catching up on some reading.

After leaving the beach we got cleaned up and had tapas and drinks at Kilowaito in town.  We then headed to the town plaza where there was a big playground surrounded by cafes.  Alex and I sat and enjoyed a beer and watched the kids play.
